For one night only hang out in a thousand year old place of worship transformed exclusively for youth packed with inflatables and activities, art space, discussion zones, prayer space, great food and so much more...

Open to school years 6-13 and tickets include dinner and candyfloss.

A cafe will also be available selling refreshments.

About Illuminate

Illuminate is the brainchild of a bunch of St Albans and Harpenden-based youth leaders, affectionately called ‘The Collective’. This collaboration came from our time spent together imagining what is possible and where God might be leading us as a tribe of youth leaders. Illuminate began from a need to create a safe, credible and relevant space for young people to reconnect, with one another, and with their youth leaders. In 2022 and 2023 we ran an Illuminate event in Vineyard Church and 200 young people attended. Then at the end of both years we 'took over' Ninja Warrior Watford and had 120 young people join us each time. For the last two years we have hosted Illuminate Cathedral where we have take over St Albans Cathedral for an evening of joyful abundance. In 2025 we had over 400 young people and leaders join us, these were from 38 different groups - what a celebration of unity and collaboration.

Our hope with the Illuminate events is to create spaces where young people can laugh, connect, play, explore faith, grow relationships, talk, share stories, find hope, make friends, and be restored.

Leaders ticket types:

Group Leader By choosing to be a group leader you will be spending the evening being responsible for your youth group. The aim of the event, and of The Collective, is for you to spend time with your group, build relationships, have fun and enable them to have the best night possible. Even though you won’t be on a rota and asked to be around for set up and clear down, we would encourage you to support the even in being safe and excellent in every way possible.
Volunteer team By choosing to be a volunteer leader you agree to support the running of the event and will be placed on a rota for part of the evening. You will still get to enjoy the evening, have food and see young people from your group. You will be asked to come early for briefing and set up, and encouraged to stay at the end to help clear up. Please be available between 5pm-10.30pm.
