Illuminate Youth

Illuminate is the brainchild of a bunch of St Albans and Harpenden-based youth leaders, affectionately called ‘The Collective’. This collaboration came from our time spent together imagining what is possible and where God might be leading us as a tribe of youth leaders. Illuminate began from a need to create a safe, credible and relevant space for young people to reconnect, with one another, and with their youth leaders. In 2022 and 2023 we ran an Illuminate event in Vineyard Church and 200 young people attended. Then at the end of both years we 'took over' Ninja Warrior Watford and had 120 young people join us each time. For the last two years we have hosted Illuminate Cathedral where we have take over St Albans Cathedral for an evening of joyful abundance. In 2025 we had over 400 young people and leaders join us, these were from 38 different groups - what a celebration of unity and collaboration.
